some say that the eyes are the gateway to the soul, they are clearly a communication mechanism all on their own. not like words of the mouth, or gestures of the hand, they speak an ancient and simple language...
Impossible for me to critique a photo ('cause it's not really my thing) As a common viewer, I really like the innocence that shows in the baby's eyes. Getting into formal stuff, I guess it is very pleasant for the eye to have the emphasis in the eyes with the hight contrast. Also the general white might be a symbol of the "blank page" that is our life when we are born
critique for a photograph doesn't need to come from a photographer, you hit a couple of good points about the image. i didn't consciously select white as a blank page, probably because he already is much more than a blank page in our lives... but you're right, it's the innocence and simplicity of his vision. eyes are really powerful and emotional in art, and real life.
you're probably babbling as much as he was when i took the photo!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
